Data Architect (AVP/VP)
The key roles of the Enterprise Data Architect are in two areas: establish a bank-wide data and information architecture and assist in the development of associated technology roadmaps for business units.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with senior staff across all technology solutions teams in the development and maintenance of the bank’s end to end information architecture by creating data architecture strategies and developing the associated roadmaps and high level plans.
- Formulate the standards, processes and procedures to align with the data architecture for major application projects.
- Review the data and technology architecture design of key application projects to ensure alignment with the enterprise standards and target architecture/roadmap.
- Support various project teams in data analysis, data modelling and data architecture related topics and provides guidance and mentoring to IT development staff in data related areas.
- Understand the needs of business units and assist in the development of technology roadmaps with an emphasis on data.
- Contribute to technical studies to develop new technology strategies and architectural standards and methodologies.
- Remaining current on leading trends in designated architecture areas and IT in general.
Requirements
- Computer Sc. or Computer Eng. degree or above in related IT discipline
- Additional business degree would be an advantage
- 5-10 years industry experience across all aspects of systems development, technology strategy creation, and management with an emphasis on data.
- Proven analytical capability and thorough working knowledge of modelling and model management for ER- and UML-based models.
- Exposure to key data standards and trends in financial services.
- At least 2 years of extensive experience in working on the following tasks:
- Enterprise data architecture management
- Engaging with senior people within business, operations, and technology
- Experience on data interface protocols, tools and standards, and familiarity with Data Delivery/Integration Tools.
- Strong understanding of the relationships between processes, data and technology.
- Good team work with strong influencing skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, highly organized.
