VP, SOA Manager

Our client, a major bank in Singapore, is currently looking to fill a senior position: VP, SOA Manager

Job descriptions:

• Manage the global implementation of SOA to support Singapore and Malaysia, as well as the bank’s “New Horizons” expansion into Indonesia and China.
• Manage a central team of SOA specialists to provide integration solutions, supporting all application development teams within the bank.
• Manage the entire SOA Service Life Cycle; including requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Manage a vendor/partner to develop SOA services, including; pricing negotiation, project delivery, and quality management processes.
• Maintain a strong partnership with the bank’s SOA platform provider, TIBCO.
• Establish the SOA governance framework, standards and guidelines for the bank.
• Research and implement SOA best practices.
• Communicate and promote the benefits of SOA.
• Drive and validate the realization of SOA benefits.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 10-15 years of working experience with a strong background in application integration projects in a banking environment.
• Good understanding of banking systems, processes and integration technologies.
• Must be a strategic and innovative thinker.
• Must have good people skills, with the ability to motivate a large extended team.
• Must have the ability to influence people at all levels, including senior management.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
