Research & Development Manager

Our client in the security industry is urgently looking for a Research & Development Manager

Responsibilities:

1. To manage teams of system developers and QA engineers
2. Manage the development of software projects (Windows and Linux based)
3. To drive projects from concept to production within budget and schedule
4. Research and Develop software for internal and external users
5. Implement project plans with senior management
6. In-house development
7. To provide innovative solutions for advanced as well as cost reduction programs
8. To provide expert advices to system developers and QA engineers

 

Requirements:

• Min Degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Engineering/Computer Science
• At least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience as a project team leader
• Experience in software development lifecycle/ process models
• At least 3-5 years experience in all phases of software development
• Able to review and improve software development process, tools and methodology
• Knowledge or experience in cryptographic technologies will have an added advantage
• 4 - 5 years in managing IT R&D projects will be desirable
• IT Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, etc will be an added advantage
• Knowledge in Delphi, Java, J2EE/JEE5, Oracle, JSP, Tomcat Web server and Ms SQL database would be an added advantage.
• Fast learner who has a passion in IT Research & Development
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin
• Only Singaporeans & PRs need to apply
• Good verbal & written communication skills
• Must have excellent interpersonal & organizational skills
• Able to meet very tight schedules with attention to details
• Should be adaptable and open to learning new skills
• Self-motivated, dedicated, good team player & work independently with min supervision
