Director – Human Resources
Due to regional expansion and growth, our client, a large local MNC with 5000+ headcount, is actively looking for a dynamic HR practitioner to fill the role of:
The incumbent reports to the group Vice President of Human Resources. It requires a strategic thinker who is able to lift the skills levels of the workforce through intensive training and development activities, attract and retain key talents through talent management and succession planning, and be able to be a pioneer in developing the company’s overseas policies in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a team of HR professionals to handle the entire Human Capital Development needs of the group
- o Develop, plan and implement the talent management program for the corporate group
- Develop, plan and implement succession planning programs for each of the major Business Units
- Manage organizational change and put in a process to handle change at each level
- Work with the Corporate Marketing Group to manage core values implementation and organize key programs to effect cultural change
- Develop key HR policies and programs for the group’s wholly owned companies in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions
- Work with Business Unit Heads in the regional offices in staffing, and planning of the HR needs
- Manage HR issues in post M & A and joint ventures in Singapore and the region
Requirements:
- A good university degree with appropriate post graduate qualifications
- At least 7 to 8 years of experience in the full spectrum of Human Resources at a fairly senior level, particularly with strong experience in Talent Management, Human Capital Development and change management.
- Preferable for the candidate to have prior experience working with large groups of employees.
- The candidate needs to possess a dynamic personality with the ability to work with all levels of staff and across cultures.
- This job will also require a hands-on practitioner who has the ability to “roll up his/her sleeves” to develop HR programs and policies from scratch
- Have the ability to train and coach and do stand-up presentations
