Operations Manager
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for direction and control of all back office operations activities in Malaysia
- Liaise with Management in the front office to ensure that business needs are met in a timely and accurate fashion
- Ensure that the firm’s activities adhere to the requirement of various legal and regulatory agencies, as well as the firm’s internal compliance standards
- Responsible for developing departmental policies and procedures
- Ensure that each function is structured and appropriately staffed to match the strategic direction of the bank
- Develop annual budget and business plans
- Liaise with the respective Heads of Operations in the region to ensure that regional objectives are met
- Co-ordinate with IT to streamline and automate current operations processes
- Liaise with external auditors and regulators on their review of the operation functions and to follow up with them on their recommendations
- Co-ordinate with all the relevant departments to create new procedures/operational manual on the new products approved
Reports to:
- Head of Administration, Malaysia
Requirements:
- General Degree, preferably in Banking/Business/Finance
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in operations in a KL exchange member house
- 2 years experience in a senior management position with a Capital Market Service Licence [CMSL]
