Project Manager (Core Banking / Trade/ Credit Cards / Internet & Mobile Banking / Treasury / Securities)

Position Objectives:

Supervise a team of IT staff/vendors in design, implementation and support of banking application systems or a series of related systems, and responsible for delivery on time, and within budget to project sponsors.

As a full time project manager, the incumbent is expected to delivery key project(s) assigned.

Principal Role:

• Prepare project feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis and proposals for application development and maintenance project
• Establish project plans, resources, budgets and time-frames, and make task assignments
• Monitor, control and report on project progress, costs and development
• Supervise assigned resources, provide technical advice and guidance, schedule assignments and training for development, prepare performance appraisals
• Coordinate plans and activities with business user and technology teams
• Evaluate and make recommendations on purchase of software packages, hardware and service vendors where appropriate
• Ensure work deliverables are in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Plan for and oversee preparation of user documentation, training and support in new/modified applications.
• Be accountable for project delivery – quality, on time, on schedule and meeting business objectives.

Domain Knowledge:

• Basic core banking domain knowledge is essential
• Advantage to have business domain knowledge in any of the following banking applications:
• Core Banking Deposits and Loans
• Trade Finance
• Treasury applications such as MUREX
• Credit Cards
• Wealth Management
• SWIFTNET, MEPS+ and other Payment/Remittance applications
• Internet Banking
• Advantage to have experience in any of the following platforms and Database:
• AS400, Unix, AIX, Oracle

Qualifications:

• Tertiary education required
• At least 10 years as Project Manager in Information Technology with good track records.
• Advantage to have taken the IT Project Management Examination conducted by the Institute of Systems Science and Singapore Computer Society
• Holders of CITPM certification will also be an advantage.
