Credit Officer - Private Banking Structured Credit Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Assess, evaluate and discuss risks of structured and complex credits within acceptable risk framework and to ascertain buying power
- Evaluate credit applications and reviews, and discuss standard and ad-hoc transactions within local credit approval limits and with head office as required
- Identify credit and transactional risk, propose and implement measures to mitigate risk exposure
- Perform various monitoring tasks through suitably developed credit tools to detect breaches of threshold levels, to enforce approval conditions and to enforce credit limits
- Prepare and enforce all aspects of credit documentation and liaise with legal experts and discuss with marketers as required
- Review information prepared for reporting and credit control purposes, and perform other credit related functions as advised
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant credit experience in Private Banking credit with extensive knowledge in private banking investment, and derivative/structured products and structured and complex credits
- Ability to adopt a methodical and informed approach to substantiate your opinion to a credit risk issue
- Possesses a committed, self-driven personality and is a highly motivated team player, eager to facilitate and propose solutions, and is resourceful with strong analytical skills
- Possesses excellent communications (oral & written) and exhibits pleasant interpersonal skills
- Equipped with sound judgment skills to balance risk, client needs and reward
- Is highly computer literate and is accustomed to work with Bloomberg
- Some traveling within Asia is required
