CEO - Vietnam Fund
Our client, a Singapore public-listed company in the boutique luxury spa resort & hospitality industry, is looking for an experienced Fund Manager to start a new fund. The incumbent will report to the Managing Director in Singapore.
Objective:
Responsible for overseeing a new Vietnam Fund, multiple funding sources, fundraising activities, stakeholder communications activities, hotels and other real estate projects and their operations and financial results.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for development of “ Vietnam Fund” within agreed guidelines and as amended from time to time
- Provide leadership in the formulation, implementation, and management of all business strategies related to the fund
- Keep abreast of the advances, procedures, regulations, technological and other market-related changes in all areas related to development and operation of the fund
- Ensure accountability, appropriate record keeping and internal controls
- Research and develop up-to-date information on all issues and items of interest to the fund
- Maintain confidentiality of all information that may be imparted to or by superiors, clients, co-workers and associates
- Assist in the timely preparation of the responses to all enquiries and requests of business proposals from potential investors related to the fund
- If required, secure future value based development opportunities for the fund and prepares feasibility studies
- Establish, manage and regularly report on fundraising goals and timelines
- Take primary responsibility for executing fundraising strategy, including funding proposals, monitoring funding report compliance, managing fundraising budget & resources
- Establish & manage systems and processes for prospect research
- Identify, solicit and manage relationships with investors
- Develop press releases and other media materials and field media enquiries as needed
Requirements:
- A good Degree or MBA in Finance or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role
- Demonstrated success in fund management & good track record
- Deep understanding of fund management and fundraising best practices & traditional fundraising techniques
- Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to work with groups and organizations
- Highly energetic, self starting, entrepreneurial and creative individual who can express/recognize ideas, opportunities, and communicate goals and objectives clearly
- Ability to travel
- Strong oral & written skills
- Prior experience in similar role with sound knowledge / experience in hospitality sector & investments
- Strong financial management skills with knowledge of hospitality market & investments
- Strong organizational & project development / management skills
- Knowledge of hospitality market & investments
- Proven track record in project of similar size desirable
