AVP/ VP, Cost Accountant
Our key client, a major bank in Singapore, is currently looking for a Cost Accountant from the manufacturing / Factory environment. They are wanting to introduce factory Cost Accounting systems & practices to the bank.
Department:
- Group Ops & Technology - Finance and Business Services
Reporting to:
- VP, Finance Services
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up a good efficient cost accounting system in the bank
- To advise whether cost accounting currently done in the operations is right or needs improvement
- Manage the unit costing programe
- Analyse Operations and Technology costs dynamics
- Provide value add in measuring/analysing costs components/trends
- Provide advisory support to the technology and operations heads on costs issues
- Track cost savings initiatives
Requirements:
- To advise whether cost accounting currently done in the operations is right or needs improvement
- Possess an Accountancy degree with 5 years of working experience in cost accounting in factory environment
- Possess strong analytical & communication skills, able to work with Department Heads
- Oracle Accounting System on AS400 platform
